However, the placeholder never disappears and I've been unable to make it do so. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

One of the well-known features of RapidWeaver is that you can change the theme of your site at any time with the click of a button. While this creates a certain uniformity in the themes, it does allow for easily changing one's mind.

Is it the same way with 3rd-party themes? Can you switch themes easily or does doing so mess up the formatting of your site? Or does it vary depending on which 3rd party theme you use?

Hey.
I tried to set up a rw-site based on „Parallaxis-Theme“ of Archetypon.
Everything looks fine at a desktop-PC ...

If I take a look on my iPad all the background-images I put in Parallaxis were horizontal displaced.
Please have a look at http://www.giesick.de/wertvolleworte

If you look to the demo-page of Archetypon, there are the same problems with these pictures, (those were set to visible on mobile devices).

Does anybody has an idea for placing a background-image to be visible on iPad in this theme?

Thanks

How expandable are their menus - I believe some are three level navigation. Is it easy to build a larger menu with many pages? The next question would be a pull down menu on certain pages. Will I need a stack, or plug in - is it called Megamenu? I can't remember. Thanks for any advice...before I start building.

New site - first cut just published at: www.landregistrynow.co.uk. 2 display problems on the home page which only occur on published site despite looking fine in RW preview.

1) Header image is in a 2 column stack, text to the right in 2nd column. in most browsers a grey line appears above it. in some, as well as the grey line, the text from the text stack below gets mixed in with it. I'm assuming the grey line is a kind of overlap. I'm using the upper and lower borders for lower text stack to create a dividing line in the same colour.

2) the 3 pop up stacks will not centre with the text stacks above them.

As I say, it looks perfect in all RW previews - tried with Chrome, Safari, Firefox. But once published the problems occur.

Have republished all files and played a little with margins / padding but still the problem occurs

Attachment screen grab shows how it looks in preview. Any ideas?

In most browsers, the content background (light grey) continues above the header image and the title and slogan appear in this area.

However on iphone, ie9 and ie10, the grey content area is not visible above the header being replaced by the theme background (in this case dark blue striped).

As the original title was dark blue it became virtually impossible to see against the theme background so I changed the Title to White as a temporary workaround

This works in iphone and i.e.10. However in ie9, the Title resolutely stays blue!

I'm finally updating my site using RapidWeaver and I'm using MultiTheme's PanelsPro2. I just about have the site ready to go live but I'm having a problem with one page. Its a styled text page with sets of two images side by side. On testing I found that the images were not responsive on mobile devises so I used the intelligent altTAG: "image " which makes the images responsive.

The problem however is now the images want to fill the whole page on the desktop browsers rather than stay medium sized and side by side. I could fix this in an image editor by "fusing" the two images together but they still seem to fill the complete page horizontally; I'd like to keep it to 80%. Also I'd rather make it work with individual files so it would be easy to add or change images as I see fit. (I'm starting to believe I won't be able to avoid the "fusing" step if I want to keep the images side by side on all platforms but then they may be too small to see at ~160 pixels per photo anyway.... I digress!)

I've tried all sorts of scaling settings in the image inspector but using the "image " altTAG, the CSS is overriding this info. I've also looked for the CSS that performs all this fluid image voodoo in hopes of modifying it but I can't find a file that seems to handle images.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way I can make it 'unresponsive' so that it just shows up like a desktop theme? I realize this is counter-intuitive, but if there's a way to mess with the css a little to get it to always just use the desktop-mode, that'd make my day!

Thanks for your help!
I'd be grateful for any suggestions as to how to overcome a menu issue withe the above theme and stack combination.
This one uses Joe Workan fluid image stacks to display the photos, and there is no problem with the 3D menu:
hahawebdesign.co.uk/gallery.html
This one uses Doobox Montage stack, and when you click on the menu expand button, it opens, but the text links 'disappear'
I'd much prefer to use the Montage stack, so your help is greatly appreciated!
I use Nick Cates 'Carbon' theme on my website. It's 'responsive' and adjusts the text and images on each page to fit the size of screen. The theme was working as expected up until a recent upgrade (either Rapidweaver or the theme - can't work out which). Now the images on certain pages don't resize to fit the iPhone screen, where before they were. I've upgraded to the latest theme version and also contacted Nick Cates for support. They suggested installing the latest version (which I have) but could offer no further help.
After upgrading the theme I republished all files, but the problem still exists.
