Keeping Rapidweaver and CMS in Sync

RAARAA Posts: 24Members
Is there anything out there that will use CMS for clients while allowing me to keep the Rapidweaver website files on my mac in sync so I don't wipe the site out when I republish the site for changes I may do?

Best,

You can check out these three for starters:

    Pulse CMS (free)
and Pulse CMS Pro (has extra features).

    ClientEdit
    http://www.rapidinsights.co.uk/

    WebYep
    http://www.obdev.at/products/webyep/index.html

They have different terms. WIth ClientEdit, you only have to purchase once and it can be used on multiple websites, whereas WebYep and PulsePro require individual purchases for each domain. They all get good ratings here and work well with RapidWeaver. You can read up on their site as it will show you the differences / setup effort.

    Good luck!

You can't forget about the ultimate Pagelime. Joe Workman has Stacks that work with many of these.

I include CMS on every site I build... and tried and tested them all except ClientEdit ( which looks clean and simple ) .. Aside from ClientEdit, I can definitely recommend Pulse Pro, which allows Blog Posts / Galleries / basic contact form.. all work with the Pulse stack.

For one client site I use RapidBlog from Loghound, which connects a blogger.com blog with the rapidweaver site.

Am also looking at Pulse for CMS for specific content areas for one new client site. Does it work with a standard RW blog page or do we need Rapidblog for this? Otherwise it looks like the Pulse Stack is what is required to allow content to be changed page by page...

My Pulse Stack is so that you could easily use Pulse in a stacks environment.

Pusle Pro has its own 'flat file' Blog. It doesn't work with RW's blog page as that is 'closed' 'system'. Nor would Pulse work with RapidBlog.
