Does anyone know of a reliable and easy way to track downloads of files from sites created with Rapidweaver?

I can view page clicks / icon clicks using Google Analytics. But---I work with musicians and bands, and their music is available for download from my site. I'd like to be able to track the downloads of individual songs. Ideally, it'd be great to have some type of automated system to generate a report that is emailed to them every X number of days . . . . . (Or, have some way that they could directly log in to a page and view their current download numbers.) I don't want to give my Google Analytics login to every musician, and even if I did, they'd have to dig through those screens to find their numbers.

(This sounds like something there should be a plugin for. Surely there's a Rapidweaver developer out there that would see this as a savvy opportunity?)

Just wondering if anybody has any fresh input on this . . . . . the only options I've seen are HTML-intensive, and even then I'm not sure they'll cover what I'm needing.

I'd really like to have a way to automatically count (and report to other sites, or via email) the numbers of downloads of files from my sites . . . . .

Looks like none of the RW experts out there have any input on this? Seems like a legitimate need, worthy of one of the stack designers to work on?

I tried to find a simple download counter that I could plug in to my website I maintain using RapidWeaver to keep track of files downloaded from the "File Sharing" template. The best I could find was people asking for them. So I created one. You can find it on my software page along with instructions on how to integrate it with RapidWeaver 5.
