Hi,

I have done three website for this client. he is a nice guy, but he has put a lot of input into the websites so a lot of the set up (colors, layout, etc.) is from him and saying the old (I want it to look like this "website", and shows me a website online). So my creative ideas were a bit held down.

The bold narrow gray text is difficult to read. The 9pt serif'ed gray text on the interior pages is even harder to read, and would be impossible to read on some laptops with high resolution screens.

Just one thing, the first site has a modern feel about , with the black and orange being a great combination.
The use of a Times type face becomes an issue in two ways , the first is in that , by it's nature has a thick and thin stroke , which can be carried in a large size however the thin part of the stroke breaks up when it gets smaller, hence it looses some of its clarity. Have a play with a sans serif font.
Even ariel in style. This would help the first issue and solve the second. Black , orange and compacted letter styles create a contempory feel, and looks great, the Times brings this into a contradiction. The body text is a great way of creating a backbone of this style. Hope it helps. :-)

Thanks.. good advice...... I will look into the suggestions......!

I like the look too.. my only issue... it may look a little too "sales" like.. for a martial art school....

which some schools like.. but some (old school teachers) do not....
