How to preserve links when pasting into another program

I have a Styled Text page with HTML links. I'd like to be able to copy the entire page and preserve the links for use in a university content management system. I've discovered that copying and pasting the contents of the Styled Text page into TextEdit or Microsoft Word loses the links. In Word, using Paste Special > Formatted Text (or Styled Text), I get the boldfacing, but still lose the links. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

    I don't think there's a simple solution to this.

It may be worthwhile to use Markdown (e.g. with Byword or several other apps) or HTML. Markdown is very easy to use, and with Byword it will convert markdown to HTML and other formats (e.g. for word). The end result is you'd start using HTML pages, or HTML stacks, rather than Styled Text.

The good news about styled text: quick and easy.
Bad news about styled text: quick, easy and very limited.

Markdown is a relatively simple step up, and accomplishes all you want plus more.

I found a way - use Evernote as a middleman. I can copy the contents of my Styled Text page page into Evernote (and choose "Paste without formatting," within Evernote) and then copy the contents of the Evernote page into the content management system. All the links are preserved. In fact, I can also copy from Evernote into Word (from Office 2011), and the links are preserved in Word, too. Interestingly enough, if, in Evernote, I choose just "Paste," the links are preserved, but I lose any tabs from my RapidWeaver Styled Text page. "Paste without formatting" in Evernote is the choice that works.
