Theme images file Locations

Hi, i am trying to find the location of the header images each theme comes with. I can't find them currently but have in the past? I am after the folder on the hard drive where all the images are saved to by theme. I want to edit in RWMultitool but first i want to extract an image from a specific theme to make some alterations to it in photoshop. Does anyone know where the folder is located please?

Should i duplicate a theme when using it for different sites. I am about to use a theme for the second time. The reason asking is that the first time i made a site i used all the editable images and don't want to loose them when making a new site. So should i be duplicating a theme for each site i use it on, and should i be creating projects in RWMultitool instead of saving in theme?
