Hey all, I'm new around here and don't know where to post this.
I'm trying to put into my footer a facebook page "Like" button; a follow twitter account button (one that you click and it lets the user follow you instantly, rather than taking them to your twitter page); and an rss feed button that opens in a new window and/or subscribes automatically. All this needs to be there, plus the copyright info and the contact link.
How would I go about doing this?
Here's my site: http://www.bryanbeus.com
I'm using the third-party theme, "Out of the Box" by HV (the only one I could find that lets you add a background image of your choice that fills the whole background).
I've spent several hours reading around online and trying to figure out how to do this, but am finally admitting that I'm in over my head (I'm no programer—hence the reason I'm using Rapidweaver, which is great!—but I know a couple of html tricks when I need them).
I've seen some things about stacks (a concept with which I'm unfamiliar), including two named pluskit ( http://www.loghound.com/
) and teleporter ( http://www.doobox.co.uk/stacks_store/demos/teleporter.html
). Teleporter looks like I might be able to figure it out, but I'm confused as to how you would actually use it in a footer (there's no video preview of that) and there's no way to demo the tool before dropping the cash to buy it.
If you use stacks in a footer, do you just paste that key phrase into the footer section in the setup window? And if you do that, what happens to your copyright info and contact button?
If not teleporter/pluskit or any other kind of stack, what's the best way to go about doing this for non-programmers?
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate the help.
