Unchecking 'Credit RapidWeaver' doesn't work - could I do it with Dev Tools?

Hi!

The 'Credit RapidWeaver' option doesn't work here, even after unticking the box all my HTMLs still include:

<!-- This page was created with RapidWeaver from Realmac Software. http://www.realmacsoftware.com -->

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong here? I've tried to remove parts of the code manually by using Web Developer Tools inside RW by highlighting and deleting lines, but as soon as I switch to a different page, the lines I just thought I deleted reappear. I suspect the Dev Tools option might be more for overviewing than actual editing?

I'm currently doing this kind of editing manually post-RW export, resaving each HTML file from my text editor, but I'd prefer a lazier route if possible. :)

Many thanks!

Sven

    Hi Sven,

I'm seeing a meta entry and not a comment line & no you can't edit it in the code preview window.
    Are you running RW5.2.2?
If you are, then send a bug report to support at realmacsoftware dot com

The expected behavior for that button is for a meta tag to turn off and on, which it will. What I think you are refering to is a comment found within some or all of the built in RapidWeaver themes, which is not effected by the button.

Thanks for your replies Bill and Adam. Just to clarify, I'm not using the built in RW themes, it's currently Cadence from Brandon Lee. I couldn't see a difference in the code with it switched either on or off, but I think I'll just keep editing it out manually if/when needed.

    Thanks again!

It shouldn't be there in his theme. Is it in the actual template HTML file as a comment, i.e. can you find it in ThemeName.rwtheme/Contents/index.html

Indeed, it's in the actual template HTML file.

Well that's where you could remove it from (and has nothing to do with the credit RapidWeaver options). However, make sure you makes such changes to a copy of the theme, not the original.
