HTML5 Video stack doesn't auto play on the iPhone

I'm using it in the theme mobi. everything works fine on the desktop, but on the mobile version specifically the iPhone, the video doesn't auto start even though that is checked in the settings of the stack. The video file is an H264 mp4 file. The other settings are: responsive layout, preload and loop. It also has a poster image.
