The True Download Stack from Doobox

figoryfigory CaliforniaPosts: 264Members
Hi. I'd really appreciate some help!

I have installed the True Download stack (after a lockdown page) The file to download is about 13 pdf pages, as instated this file is in resources.
It works except for some reason when published the pdf files also create a duplicate .doc document. Making the file 26 pages. Why????? How do I stop this?
THANK YOU anyone that has any advice

Sadly this seems to be a bug, and in this case my client is not happy with having two versions of the same document. can anyone advise me on the best way for me to work around this? I need to allow access to a file about 13 pdf sheets

    Thanks

I know nothing about the True Download stack. But why are you using it? What specifically does it give you over just zipping the file (or folder) and placing on a server? Zipping is easy. Server placement is very easy (especially if you choose to use Dropbox Public folder option).

So while there may not be an immediate answer to the True Download problem (probably the developer can answer), there should be an easy fix using a different approach.

    Thanks mitchellm

yes I zipped it and used the kuler solutions fileshare.
I liked the True download stack because I could use my own image there to click for download.
Thanks so much for the help

Got it: about liking adding your own images. Makes sense. Have you contacted DooBox about this issue?

Yes I have, he has been great and very helpful. But could not fix it in this instance. I think in some cases it would be fine to have the two versions of the document, but in this case the client did not like it, so I had to find another solution.
