Creating an Archives page

BrianBrian Posts: 4Members
I have a question about a subject I haven't seen addressed anywhere else re Rapidweaver: creating a new Archives page for articles/essays.

I'm moving over from iWeb to Rapidweaver and want to update what I have now — which is basically a primitive Archives page of text articles (not blog): one main index page and a separate new page for each separate article. Kind of wieldy, hard to manage, though it's the simplest form of archive to put together.

Are there any plugins that anyone could recommend for putting together something like this? Again, it won't be for a blog but for regular text articles, kind of like a mini-library of text stories/articles. Would any kind of database plugin for Stacks/Blocks work on something like this, or would that be something to stay away from?

Have searched everywhere, but am still stumped. Thanks for any ideas you can pass along.

I don't think you need any special plugins or stacks. Create a meta-page that gives links to each of the relevant pages with individual articles on them.

You'll probably want to make sure each individual article page is "enabled" but "show in inspector" is deselected in Page Inspector.

So maybe I'm not understanding the problem. Is there a specific "look and feel" you're after? In that case you may need a specific stack. But if you can create a link, then you can also create a series of links.
