Yabdab's Comment Stack Help

omniaaronomniaaron Sewanee, TNPosts: 106Members
Would someone be kind enough to check out this page: http://www.villagecritteroutfitter.com/Guestbook/guestbook.php and see if it loads. It does NOT load for me; it seems to hang when attempting to load the Comment Stack. I feel sure that I've set up the stack properly (php, correct login username and password). But it seems to hang.

Any clues?
Thanks!

    Aaron,

I just tested your comments form and it seems to work. I understand I am rather late, but I just stumbled upon your forum post now.
    :)

BTW, is this Joe Workman's comment stack?

    Thanks for the reply, Andreas.
This stack is from Yabdab's new collection: http://www.yabdab.com.
I did, figure out my problem (server had no way to switch on PHP5; I had to write a .httaccess file!).

I do wonder, however, if I can have the newest entries arrive on top.... (???)

    Thanks again.

Dear users of Yabdab's comment stack,

I just tried to incorporate such page in my website, but I can't seem to get it working.
I followed the manual, and I think I filled in the correct ftp data, and changed the page to index.php instead of index.html.

My host in one.com and they support php5, so this shouldn't be the problem.
I visited the page with Safari and Firefox to trigger the proces.

But nothing happens, and I don't get any error.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong.

    The website is
    www.tomverstappen.com

I hope you know the solution.

    Hi Tom

I had the same problem. It turned out that I did not have the latest version of the stacks plugin currently I think it is 1.3.1

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Simon,

    This isn't the problem.
I have the latest version of everything.
    Thank you for thinking along.
