Hi
Ive made a basic temp site whilst the Magento site is being made,
I have used Nspire which is great when vied in Safari but in Explorer when viewed at 100% its just to big and the background image is lost. KNock the browser view size to 75% and its great ,,,,,can I change the expolrer viewing size at source ( in RW ) or is it something I must either live with or change the theme to another. Which would be a shame .
We have viewed it on Ex8 and 9 . I ve attached how it looks in IE and how it looks on the explorer at work ..

(Obviously they are mock ups as I dont have a PC in the house )
In Safari you can see the whole background ( cant attach the safari for some reason )
Thank u all in advance :-)

This may not be the direction you want to go, but you could set a narrower width for the theme in the Page Styles settings. The disadvantage here is it is not browser centric. It would be the new narrower width for all browsers. My site uses another NCD theme and I can choose from 760, 860 or 960 pixels.

    Thanks
There arent page width options in N Spire.
Ideally I would use some code to reduce the entire site by 25% in size...
Not sure if this is possibible.....

Hmmm that is strange there is no theme width. It made me curious. I own 3 NCD themes and they all made allowances for multiple widths. I went to the NCD themes site and looked up the style options for your theme and there was no mention of width settings. I then logged into Parallels and visited the N Spire theme sample on the NCD Themes site using Internet Explorer and the background image appeared to be dynamic in IE. No matter how big or how small I made the browser window in IE, the background image displayed. It simply got cropped to suit the window size.

    Several suggestions come to mind:
First off: I would visit the NCD Forums and post a question there. Perhaps if you used a custom background image there is some wrinkle to it such as a minimum image size or a setting that must be used for it to display correctly. I took a quick peek at the NCD forum and I saw no such questions posted for your theme. If it was a common problem, there might already be a question about it. So it may be something unique to your setup. I would definitely post your question there.

Secondly: I would visit the NCD Themes website with the same copies of Internet Explorer you've used to visit your website. See how their page displays in the same browser. For me the background image stayed the same size and simple showed more or less of it and added scroll bars when needed.

    Thank you for your reply..
    This is the safari view.
See the difference ( allow for the fact I had to emulate the IE view ) BUT im sure you get the idea.

That is odd. But like I said check out the sample of N Spire on the NCD Themes website in IE to see if it behaves the same. If it doesn't that may point to it being something about your background photo. Plus while you may get some help here, I think the NCD folks will be able to offer the most help, I"d ask them at the link I posted. Good luck.
