I've been working on developing a Formloom project for my web site, so have had my original site document open on my desktop as I do the development on a test site document. I'm using RW 5.0.2 (7766). I took a break from that to add a new issue of our newsletter and to update some text on a page on my original site before going back to Formloom on the test site. Then, at the end of the day as I shut things down to give my computer a planned restart, the Save that I did on the web site document appeared to proceed normally, but I noticed that the red Quit button still had a black dot (unsaved). I tried a couple more times, no luck. Tried Save As to another location, didn't work. Finally, I did a Command-D duplication and opened the copy. None of the new work done was there. I added the text and newsletter issue to the copy and it saved correctly. I tried 1) repairing volume permissions, checked out the status of Quick Look (off), no Application Enhancer, obviously can't safe boot and have checked my plug-ins for freshness. One has an unsaved update (WP-Blog).
Is my original file toast?

I don't have collage 2, and I reported the crashing issue in another post here, under Repetitive Crashing, submitted crash reports etc, but have heard nothing back in about a month. I was busy with other things, so did not have time to chase this, and I guess the admins were busy with this new forum?
As an aside, I did NOT move my images and the problems are limited to some newly added pages. I am not a power user having only 2 sites, but one of my sites is likely to get very large and heavy with images, so this stands to be a real problem for me if it does not get resolved.
