Crash when pinging

When I turn the ping feature on in RW and publish, RW says: "Ping failed for blog 'technorati.com' and the connection timed out. Then it stops responding and crashes.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem, and can anyone advise anymore Ping directories to add? How can I automatically ping my changes with Google?

    Technorati hasn't used pings since 2009, so you can delete them from the ping list. That will eliminate the error message and the waste of time of RW waiting for the ping to be received.

    This is what I've been using for Google:
    http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2

    The Google ping link has been working for me. It you're still getting error codes make sure you remove technorati. I didn't just uncheck it. I deleted it from the list entirely.
