      <description><![CDATA[Hi everyone,<br />
<br />
We released Stacks 2.1.10 this morning. It's a free bug fix update, which normally I would release quietly, but since it has an important change, I thought I'd post to the forum.<br />
<br />
Google has changed their CDN URL endpoints for jQuery UI. This change can potentially affect some 3rd party stacks. It's important that you update Stacks and republish your site to incorporate the new Google URLs.<br />
<br />
Stacks should pick up this update the next time you launch Stacks, but you can download it directly from our website here: <a href="http://yourhead.com/stacks/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://yourhead.com/stacks/</a><br />
<br />
Isaiah<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Techie details: this does not affect the general jQuery libraries and no version changes were made. Google suddenly dropped an endpoint that we have used for a couple years (I suspect this is accidental, but who knows when they'll fix it). So we've moved over to a specific version endpoint rather than the floating version endpoint in the same manner with did with the jQuery libraries in January.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Hi all,<br />
<br />
I think it's about time that I moved to a more professional hosting company that gives better customer support and fewer problems with many RW Stacks (particularly PHP related) . This is quite a daunting task as I now have about 60 websites/domains that I look after, many of which include an email service. Some of my clients choose to stay with their existing host and give me an FTP account or access to their control panel. One such client uses <a href="http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/reseller-hosting/" rel="nofollow">Heart Internet</a> (based in the UK) and I am very impressed with their system. They have a comprehensive (but quite expensive) reseller package and I just wanted to see if any RW users on this forum have experience of Heart Internet (good and bad) or can suggest a good alternative.<br />
<br />
Many thanks,<br />
<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Anyone else having issues filling out the contact form on (RESOLVED) support page?<br />
My super simple question is this: I'd really like to have an 'EMAIL' or envelope as one of the social icons on the Paramount theme. This seems to be the first time I haven't been able to use it.<br />
<br />
ALLEVIATE THEME UPDATE: The menu now works thanks to a theme version update. Any suggestions on how I can get my money back on the Alleviate theme? I've embarrassed myself in front of a client after realizing the menu on the theme doesn't appear at all... (standard browser mode and mobile mode) using the latest RW on a MBPRetina running on 10.8.2 I've been waiting for a month for a fix... Is this really 'what I get' for branching out to a new developer??<br />
<br />
Any insight from the community would be great. ]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I'm a designer who stepped into developing websites using RapidWeaver. I love it, but I'm getting bigger opportunities that require database, blog and heavy customer CMS functionality — basically editorial websites and real estate websites. This seems to be too much for RapidWeaver to handle. I was recommended to check out Concrete5, which I've never heard of until this week. I like the idea of using something other than WordPress, because everyone and their mother is developing with WordPress — even if they have no design background. Many of my clients come to me when they are ready to ditch their previous WordPress developer, due to the lack of a well designed brand strategy. I hate the thought of learning something new and having to buy all new plugins all over again. I'm not a code guy, although I've had to figure some stuff out to make RapidWeaver work for me.<br />
<br />
I will continue to do small business website design and development with RapidWeaver, but the time has come for me to consider broadening my skills with a larger CMS platform like Concrete5 or WordPress. Any advice out there regarding Concrete5 over WordPress? Any feedback regarding plugin cost comparisons. Are plugin's relatively the same cost between both platforms?<br />
<br />
I've read a little about comparisons and they both seem to be very strong. WordPress has more plugins available and it's no longer considered just a blogging platform, but a true CMS option.<br />
<br />
Thanks,<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Introducing <a href="http://themes.jonasthemes.com/aerial" rel="nofollow"><span><b>AERIAL</b></span></a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://themes.jonasthemes.com/aerial" rel="nofollow">Preview</a> | Price: €20<br />
<br />
With the Aerial theme you can leave a great impression on your visitors with its magazine like title on top of a large graphic.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://themes.jonasthemes.com/aerial" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://forum.jonasthemes.com/image.png" alt="image.png" /></a><br />
<br />
<b>Legibility</b><br />
<br />
Text has been carefully styled so it is a relief to read what your website is about.<br />
<br />
<b>Responsive</b><br />
<br />
In addition to a responsive layout for mobile devices, Aerial offers an optional max width limit for your site. Images and videos are scaled to fit any screen size.<br />
<br />
<b>Sticky Navigation</b><br />
<br />
The navigation can be locked to the top of the browser window as the page is scrolled upwards.<br />
<br />
<b>Map</b><br />
<br />
You can display a large map stretching the whole width of the page. Great to show where you are located.<br />
<br />
<b>Retina</b><br />
<br />
Though you can add your own logo and banner images no other images are used in this theme so its quick and crispy sharp. In contrast to most other themes logos will look sharp on retina displays. This is achieved by scaling them to 50% of their original size.<br />
<br />
<b>Colors</b><br />
<br />
Full and complete color control on all theme elements and text.<br />
<br />
<b>Browser support</b><br />
<br />
A website created with the Aerial theme will work in most browsers (IE8+) but certain stylistic elements might be missing or look different, e.g. drop shadows, rounded corners and fonts. In our opinion a website must not necessarily look the same in every browser.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[I just released two new stacks that will help your visitor to see the difference between internal links (from one page to the other within your site) and external ones (that lead to another site):<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://rapidweaver.marathia.com/stacks/ExternalLinkIcon/" rel="nofollow">ExternalLinkIcon Stack</a> shows an icon after external links. You can choose between four image types, two sizes and 25 colors – 200 variations in total.<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://rapidweaver.marathia.com/stacks/FavLink/" rel="nofollow">FavLink Stack</a> is maybe a little more fancier: it shows the favicon (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon" rel="nofollow">what's that?</a>) of the corresponding site before or after an external link.<br />
<br />
For all details, demos and download links please visit the <a href="http://rapidweaver.marathia.com/stacks/ExternalLinkIcon/" rel="nofollow">ExternalLinkIcon Stack product page</a> and the <a href="http://rapidweaver.marathia.com/stacks/FavLink/" rel="nofollow">FavLink Stack product page</a>.<br />
<br />
In case you missed it: my stacks are no longer free. I changed to a Pay What You Want system. This means that you can buy any of my stacks and pay for it what you think is reasonable. For those who are interested, I wrote about the background and reasons for this decision <a href="http://marathia.us5.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2f250aec6d39d6b5cea1e76c9&amp;id=7ec7bf4db1&amp;e=258ae4388b" rel="nofollow">in this post in my blog</a>.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Im having trouble with the space around my stacks. My layout is based on a grid; 3 columns wide, x however many rows I need for content, so effectively its "tiles", but these vary by content.<br />
Row 1 is a tile 3 columns wide.<br />
Row two 2 columns wide<br />
Row three, four, 2 columns wide.<br />
A right column equal to 1 column wide x 2 rows.<br />
A last row 3 x 1 column.<br />
See attached screen shot.<br />
I have worked on a 20px margin between each and worked up the layout in photoshop to give me the visual. The last column isn't equal but I can correct that, my bad maths.<br />
My problem is with 2 and 3 column stacks having gutters in %. I understand why a % is useful but it causes problems when vertical spacing is in px. A 1% is too narrow, meaning I have to reduce the spacing for all the others and it ruins the balance. 2% is too wide and means I have to increase everything else. The 3xcolumn stack is 33 split, and yet the 2xcolumn doesn't line up at 66%, I have to increase it to more like 69% to get the edge to line up. The real problem is how would you guys create a layout like this so that you can control the spacing exactly? Ideally I want to have 20px everywhere. Is there a way to alter the gutter % by pixels, or a way to be more specific, such as 1.5%. Also I'm using a responsive theme, so I can't use exact widths for stack content.<br />
Help appreciated!<br />

      <description><![CDATA[Bonjour à tous!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

Basically I've used them to place the comments in the sidebar. Now, I can see it works in Firefox and on iOS devices but doesn't work in safari. This is the case for all products.<br />
This is the case on mountain lion and snow leopard versions of safari.<br />
Any idea what the problem might be anyone? I have emailed the developers but no solution so far..]]></description>

Is private eyes easier to use than lockdown and does it create what i just mentioned about the user creating a password? I have registered for forums etc that auto send email verification before using the registered pages. i would like to be able to do that also. I want the user to have there own member entry page with information just for each user. Is private eyes capable of that?]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I'm attempting to finally warehouse my images to free up some room to grow my website. I decided to use Flickr, as they've been around a while and I'm familiar with their site. My problem is that I don't know code... at all. I'm self-taught at this web design thing and I'm learning as I go.<br />
<br />
I'm using these images to create my product pages and I'm trying to redesign my site to look more like some other sites I've used. I want to be able to do one of two things when clicking on an image on my site.<br />
<br />
1. I want to link the image to another page in my site<br />
2. I want nothing to happen when clicking on other images on my site.<br />
<br />
Right now when I click on the image it takes me to the photo on Flickr. I NEVER want that to happen. I'm hoping someone can tell me in laymen's terms how to make the two things I mentioned above happen in place of taking my customers off-site to Flickr. Or alternately, if someone knows of a stack which will do this for me in place of me having to deal with code? All I seem to find are gallery based add-ons and none of them seem to do what I want.<br />
<br />
I'm pasting a copy of the code Flickr is generating for me:<br />
<br />
&lt;a href="<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/95786663@N07/8745786446/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.flickr.com/photos/95786663@N07/8745786446/</a>" title="Icon Tank Top Main by encinitas_surfboards, on Flickr"&gt;&lt;img src="<a href="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7300/8745786446_446517cbf5_m.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7300/8745786446_446517cbf5_m.jpg</a>" width="240" height="240" alt="Icon Tank Top Main"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;<br />
<br />
I would appreciate any help you can give me, as I am getting in over my head, but I really want to continue growing my site! As it is, I have maxed out my space and Rapidweaver is currently hating me!<br />
<br />
Thank you!<br />

My website <a href="http://www.optiekvanderlinden.be" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.optiekvanderlinden.be</a> has about 100 pages and is about 250MB in size. Every time I open RapidWeaver to make some changes, the user/library/cache/com.yourhead.YHStacksKit grows to several Gigabytes in size. If I don't manually empty the com.yourhead.YHStacksKit Cache daily, AND empty the Trash before i turn off my mac, my Mac still has problems and stalls at startup the next day. Sometimes up to 5 minutes and more before he really boots. If i have a been working on my site for a few weeks without deleting that cache, than my iMac doesn't start up anymore, and the only thing left to do is completely reinstall the iOs operating system.<br />

Does anyone know a solution and / or what is the cause of this?]]></description>

Also, I have limited stock, is there anyway to set the number to say 5 shirts and when they are sold it clicks to out of stock? I know you can set a limit and it then wont add to cart but this may be confusing for people and is this limit per customer or the total limit.<br />

      <description><![CDATA[One thing I struggle with in RW is being confined to stack boxes, and how to have elements or graphics that break out of these. Joe Workmans page is a great example of breaking out of the box <a href="http://joeworkman.net/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://joeworkman.net/</a><br />
Take a look at the sidebar which has joes toolbox graphic overlaid at the top and spilling into the header area, then there is the "Featured" box, which has the title breaking out of the box area. I presume this is all to do with padding and margin settings? What I don't understand is how you can have the toolbox image that appears on the right to be way past the left side of the other columns. RW is basically columns and grids, so how do I go about layouts like this that allow me to break out of it?]]></description>

I'd then like to tweak "CRE4MY-Custom 2" a little bit (different text content, different banner photos) to make a website for a colleague. (So basically, it'll look exactly the same as "CRE4MY-Custom 1", except for the banner photos and some of the text.)<br />

cosa vogliono dire i vari fill, float, fixed mode ecc ecc?<br />
grazie a tutti]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Hi Weavers,<br />
<br />
I got a strange problem with a new site. It is early work in progress …<br />
<br />
The problem is that the page mostly loads incomplete at first with a browser (all types) with free and clean cache. After this first partly load and refreshing of the site or jumping between some test pages the page loads complete and without errors. No missing elements or boxes …<br />
<br />
What can be the problem of the site or the initial loading process? Any idea to avoid such an incomplete first load of a website?<br />
<br />
The responsive site is build with newest RapidWeaver, Stacks 2, Responsive Freestack Theme, Joe Workman Stacks (Cycler, fluid image etc.) Doobox stacks.<br />
<br />
Thanks for any help and advice!<br />
