I’m unsure if I’m in the right forum here - but am looking for a slider that looks like the one below the main banner on this page. Avalon Waterways

I’ve looked at Cycler and Gyro… but neither offers the ability to have multiple images across the page.

Hoping that this is the correct forum to suggest this to plugin developers. - Or if I’ve overlooked this slider being available, I’d appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any help

Hi all,

I have created several sites using rapidweaver, but now i need to incorporate a user forum into the site.

What do you use to do this? Is there a plugin, or another program that will work with rapidweaver?

Thanks in advance.

Pricing structure stack or Stacks 2 template?

Hi guys,

I was thinking that it would be useful to have a pricing structure stack (or stacks 2 template) to create something that looks this: http://www.ChrisAdamsDesignStudio.com/Pricing/

Possible features to include, number of columns, sections per column, which column to highlight etc etc.

I know I’d use it, could be used for a host of other applications too

Just thought I’d put it out there.

Thanks

Anyone interested in working on a Filemaker integration plugin?

A question to all Plugin developers.
From personal experience and from what I have seen in these forums, there are a lot of RapidWeaver web developers that want to add a database to run behind their websites. And I know this can be done with MySQL and PHP, but lets face it, most of the RW developers can’t write code and that is why they use and like RW so much. And looking at the databases that require no Apache, MySQL, PHP, etc, and still work on a Mac and Win, only Filemaker stands out.

So as a Filemaker and Rapidweaver developer myself (that has an English Degree and knows no code), it is frustrating not to have any plugins that offer any integration. I know there was RapidScript, but that is just using Applescript from FM, not really a plugin.

So if anyone is interested in working on a Filemaker plugin, I am offering my services for any work required on the Filemaker side so we can get something working.

The way it should work is something like the Filemaker module for Drupal that is out there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnA09HjeNWU

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Replacing Tokens in kRWExporterPageExportDidEnd Notification Observer

Hi Community,

I would like to know whether it is possible for me to modify a page’s content as it is exported. My attempts to do this have centered around the ‘kRWExporterPageExportDidEnd’ notification, with mixed results.

My proof of concept code (below) works find when previewing a page, but doesn’t have any effect on export / publish. This was rather frustrating, as during my experimentation phase of development, I didn’t think to test previewing and export, assuming they’d function similarly. I’ve worked around this for now, but this workaround is sub-optimal.

My questions:

1) why does my code work on preview but not export / publish?
2) is it possible to replace arbitrary tokens within the generated HTML of a page at export, publish & preview?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Plugin That Alters Every Page

I am trying to create a RW plugin that will alter the HTML of each page prior to it being finalized. I presume this is possible because that is what Plus-Kit is doing, but I can’t readily figure it out from the SDK headers. I am listening to the kRWExporterPageExportDidStart/End notifications, but contrary to the header documentation, the NSNotification object contains a RWExporter, which is deemed private & undocumented, that doesn’t conform to RWPage. Even if I had RWPage, I’m not quite sure how I would alter it’s content.

I have successfully written a single page type plugin, so I am familiar with the basic mechanics. Any advice how to accomplish my goal would be appreciated.

BTW, this is not to create a plugin that competes with or is similar to Plus Kit, I just need to do a similar mechanical action.

Webcomic Plugin Request

I know this has been requested several times, but it doesn’t look like it’s been mentioned since the new forums went up, so here goes. I would really like a webcomic plugin for RapidWeaver (this type of plugin would also be very useful for a photography site that updates regularly, or any such art site).

Generally, webcomics are set up so that the latest comic appears at the top of the page, and all of the news posts since the comic went up are below, in order. When the new comic goes up, the news posts move with the old one onto an archive page, and the new comic is at the top of the main page, with all of the later news posts below it.

There should also be a control scheme, usually consisting of four buttons: First, Previous, Next, and Latest. Personally, I’d like the option of putting this control bar above or below the comic, or both, and possibly stacked vertically in the sidebar as well. Also, there should be an archive system. This should have the option of being a separate page, or a drop down menu, with the same placement options as the control bar.

The control scheme, and the relationship between the comic and the news posts are what make the normal bloc page inadequate for this purpose. If someone could make this, that would be great. If they could work out a way to have multiple authors for the news posts, that would be even better.

I can’t be the only one here who would pay for something like this, can I?

Template Stack

Not sure if a Stacks Template is new idea or not, but I sure could use one!

I have a postcard website where the reader scrolls down the page to look at all the cards. For each card there is a title, 2 images of the cards, then another text box with below that. I use a stack with image and text stacks inside that, to organize the info about each postcard. They are always the same, so I simply made a blank one with the stacks all set up as I need and then I copy / paste them over and over again, to get identical stacks all the way down my page. This is a pain in the you know what, cause when you paste the new premade stack, it always goes to the bottom of the page and you have to scroll down, click on it and then drag it up into the correct place on your page. When you have a long page it is difficult to get the stack moved into the proper place within that page.

If I had a Stacks Template then I could simply drag the stack template from the Stacks menu over and drop it into the correct place on my page and add my content!

Hi,

I would love to see a coupon plugin / stack like:

http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/471430-coupon-generating-all-internet-marketers-offline-marketers-just-plain-wordpress-lovers.html

I would use it for sure.

Cheers
Mel
