Problem

I created a background in photoshop, and i put it as my background for a rapidweaver site im working on.  The problem is that its different on every screen.  On my screen and my wife laptop and other laptops, the site looks good.  But On a 24in Imac the site has a huge white border all around it, showing where my layout ends.  Is there a universal way of making the background you use in rapidweaver automatically adjust to the screen/resolution of all computers?
