I must be a little slow….

I would like to add a few pictures in the dead space of my CONTACT page in R.W.  I have my Contact page all set and then I opened a new blocks page, added the pictures / content and then added the CONTACT page from the menu along the bottom of Rapid Weaver.  The Contact page does not transfer over. I do not know HTML but I tried fooling around with the source code from the CONTACT page but came up short. Perhaps I am over my head…perhaps I need a beer?

Any help would be great!

My website is almost ready, I just need to dress up my CONTACT page….

Thanks!

Hi,

I’d personally say that I’d resist overdressing your contact page, as the visitor should get info about the form and then the form mostly.

Having said that, you can get quite a lot into a Contact Form if you wish to using the Header and Footer text areas in the Page Inspector (click the wrench tab top right and look in there).

http://www.sussexguitarteacher.co.uk/form.php is a good example where I have done just that.

As for using Blocks, you will need to make sure the filename for the Blocks page has a .php at the end not a .html to run the php side of the Contact Form.

with best regards,
Karn.

I had a look at the link you gave - I love the way the page appears on the screen when you choose the menu (is that “transition”?).  Is that a RW theme?

The example Contact page you provided is basically what I am trying to do.  My blocks page has .php filename. When I look at the blocks page in preview it shows the correct contact page however it has <?php echo check(‘element1’);?> in the area where it ask you to fill in the required info.  I decided to start over but ended with the same result.  Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, I think that transition also looks superb and yes , I always read Karn’s advice - he (as many others on here) have helped me tremendously in the past and for sure will be there to help again.
