For those of us with spare “real estate” (larger or 2nd monitor), it would be nice if we could “detach” the Preview mode so that we could have 2 windows open at the same time, one in Edit Mode and the other in Preview Mode, so that we could see our changes as they occur.  Me, I’d like to pull it onto my 2nd monitor while I’m working.

Due to the way RapidWeaver works, this isn’t feasible: particularly with larger pages (photo albums, blogs etc). It’s definitely noted, but it’s not something we’re going to be able to implement anytime soon I’m afraid.

is it the separate window that can’t be implemented or the viewing of tweaks live in preview mode?

having the advance tab padding and margin update in the preview mode would be brilliant, especially getting tricky stacks lined up.

Both. They’d require a significant reworking in how RapidWeaver works to achieve. We know folks want this feature, though!
