This site is for my language services business. I am very new to rapidweaver so I pretty much just stuck with the template. I know this is probably laughable to a lot of your more experienced developers. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, also my contact form seems to be busted, please if someone has any hints for that I’d gladly appreciate it.
*The contact page shows up on the site, however, I get an error message when trying to send a message using it. I’ve checked and rechecked my settings but can’t find the issue.

Your dreamweaver site looks just like a rapidweaver site!
Ah, so sorry…
I’ve spent so much reading the difference between the two I’m just all over the place. Excuse my mix up.

I just sent a test message and the “Thank you, your email has been sent.” message was displayed. Where are you getting an error message?

I figured out the problem, under the settings area I had to check the option that says “send email using your email address” This works for now although I’d like to figure out how to not have to have this as the setting so it would be easy for me to just hit “reply” and respond to sender. As it is, I have to copy and paste the email address into a new box to reply to the sender. Perhaps the problem is with my host (yahoo small business). I’ve seen a fair amount of problems on these forums relating to them.I truly appreciate you taking the time to look over my page. Do you have any suggestions as how to fix this dilemma?
Hello,
Nice site, clean and simple.
Just two main suggestions:
1) For greater usability I would make the items you list on the page links.
Since you don’t explain what these services are about right under each of them, people will expect these to link to the info. Yes you have the links in your sub-navigation but don’t force people to find information just one way, provide several different, obvious ways to get there.
2) One more thing I recommend is to add some personality to the site, people do business with people and like to see who are the passionate professionals behind this company. Why should I choose you? Company profiles can help us see there are dedicated people behind the scenes who care about what is being offered.
Just my impressions,
Jacob

ialamin,
My background is page layout. My wife’s background is as a graphic artist for a major design firm with the accounts of Coca-Cola, HP, Mercedes, Sony, Canon, and others.
We both looked at your site. We like the icons and your logo. But from a marketing and/or design point of view… the theme has got to go. It does not, in our minds, reflect your product. There are many talented designers on this forum. I’d suggest looking at a few other themes:

jacob,
I agree with you fully. I plan on adding more text to the site, in fact what I have up now is just the basics while I write everything out. I would like to talk more about the company and add more personality as you suggested. I’ll definitely make those services listed as links. Perhaps I was just too zealous to get something up and haven’t handled the small details, which indeed are very important.
Mr. Pilot,
Thanks for the link! I would like to do more with the theme or any theme but my knowledge of that stuff is very limited. I agree that the theme isn’t exactly what I need but I felt of what was offered with the program, I could work with it the best. I will definitely go through the themes provided on the site you gave me. I appreciate you and your wife taking time to look over the site.
Subnavs of “Services” may go unnoticed.
Better if you give links within content too (descriptions there and no links, visitor will want to click them).

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have since implemented a few of them and will continue to work on the site.
