Hi,

I am trying to bring an image into the background stretcher stack settings (I am using the Blocksbox theme).

I don’t quite understand how to bring in the image on my server.

In the Image 1 field it reads: assets/www.jdglover.co.uk/powells_home/01_tag.jpg

But nothing comes up.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Many thanks

Jennifer

Have you seen this?

Background Stretcher Stack Settings*

Include jQuery: uncheck if using the stack in a jQuery-ready theme or the page includes another plugin that loads the jQuery library
Animate?: if unchecked, the first image will be remain static on the screen and the slideshow will not be activated
Adjust z-index: unchecking this box might make the stack work better with some themes
Interval (sec): sets the duration in seconds for each image
Speed: options include ‘slow’ (default), ‘normal’, or ‘fast’
Original Width**: set the width of the images in pixels
Original Height**: set the height of the images in pixels
Image 1-5: set the path to the location where the images are stored. Images can be located in the Page Assets or on your server
Hide Image 2-5: check to hide the specified image
*If the info box (HUD) is too long for your screen size, follow these 3 steps:
Drag the RW project window down
Drag the info box (HUD) up, past the top of the RW project window
Drag the RW project window back up
The bottom of the info box (HUD) should be visible…
**The values of Width and Height are used to calculate the aspect ratio of your images, therefore you can input those values instead. For example, if your images have a 4:3 aspect ratio, input ‘4’ in Original Width and ‘3’ in Original height.

Please note that all images must have the same aspect ratio to avoid distortion

I suppose you did, maybe it is something else, but I am sure our friend Mauricio know what’s wrong.

regards

First of all, thanks to Yolanda for covering for me. I’m traveling and have limited acess…

Hi Jennifer,

The path has to be set as follows:

http://www.jdglover.co.uk/powells_home/01_tag.jpg

You only need to include ‘assets’ for images saved in your Page Assets. In your case, the images are on your server therefore, you must specify the complete address including the http:// bit…

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Mauricio

Hi Yolanda,

Yes I saw this but I still can’t understand how to enter the correct link to my server:

Image 1-5: set the path to the location where the images are stored. Images can be located in the Page Assets or on your server

My images are located at http://www.jdglover.co.uk/powells_home

The image is 01_tag.jpg

I’m not sure how to enter this information correctly in the image 1 field. I figure I must be phrasing it wrong somehow?

I can get it to work if I keep the image on my machine and link it via Page Assets but I would prefer to host it if possible.

I’ve attached a screen grab of what I have entered. The first image is the one on my server, the remaining two are in my Page Assets.

Kind regards

Jennifer
