Hi, I have used the Quicktime video stack and provided the location of the video to play which is on my desktop. It plays fine locally using RW, however, when uploaded just see the big “Q”.

So I guess it’s not finding the video file?

I assumed the video would get uploaded with the rest of the page to the site?

Any ideas welcome

Thanks very much
Mark

Hi

How have you added the video to your page?

Have you added it in the assets and linked it that way then it should have been uploaded to your server.  If not have you uploaded to your server and linked to it that way. This is called warehousing.

There is a good tutorial about warehousing - it is based on images but may help. There are also quite a few other threads on the form if you search for warehouse.

Hope this helps

Many thanks

I created a ‘warehouse’ folder on the server and uploaded the movie and then put that link in the video stack, but still no luck. But will start looking at the other warehouse threads.

Thanks again

Yep,

Thanks

Mark,

Maybe you quicktime file is in another subfolder?

http://www.computertrainingexpert.co.uk/warehouse/Internet Payday Is Here.mov

instead of the currently used

http://www.computertrainingexpert.co.uk/website/warehouse/Internet Payday Is Here.mov

btw I suggest changing the space to something like an underscore in the file name

Cheers,
Joost.

That’s fixed it!  Thanks very much all for you speedy help. Once I get more experience I hope I can help others as well.
