Hello Everyone,

I’m happy to announce the availability of Fabo Stacks.

Fabo Stacks is a set of convenience stacks that lets you easily place
Facebook social plugins and the Google Plus One button onto your web pages.

Why would you want to do this?

Facebook has a huge user base, and most people already have a Facebook
account. So why not leverage Facebook’s reach and popularity for your
own web site?

For example, when a user clicks “Like” on your page, what happens is
that on the user’s Facebook profile, Facebook can show that this user
has Liked your web page, and people on his Facebook friends list can
see this. It translates to free marketing for your site.

For a list of the Facebook Social Plugins covered, please take a look
at the Fabo Stacks page here:

Thanks!

Eric

Do you have a link to a demo website that is using these Stacks? I would love to see a live example.

Thanks!

Nevermind… I have a feeling they are on your site, but I am at work at the moment and they block all Facebook related links… I now see the blocked sections popping up…

I just purchased this and it is great but I am having problems linking photos to comments that people post. In other words when someone comments on the page and then says to post it on facebook, no link is attached to that post. Is there anyway of doing this?

Hi,

There’s no way to control what Facebook shows on your wall, although there’s a link posted as well. Can you tell me your url?

Hey procmail, quick question: with the Fabo Like button, does the URL of each page have to be entered manually?

Thanks…

Hi Brett,

If you don’t enter the url for the Like Button, it will default to the current page. smile

It won’t show up in Preview, but will show up in Publish.

Just to verify, did you first add a Fabo Init stack and then enter the App ID, before adding the Fabo Like stack?

No I hadn’t, everything solved now with the fabo stacks!

Thanks,

Hi Eric,
i installed “Fabo Comments”, got my Facebook applicationID - everything is working fine - at least on my site. Logged into my Facebook-site i cannot find the comments wich have been left on my homepage. They should be on the application wall?!

Hi Fraschu,

I don’t think the comments are posted to your application wall; rather the person posting can choose to have his comments posted to his own profile instead.

This is what Facebook has on their Comments widget:
“The Comments Box easily enables your users to comment on your site’s content â?? whether it’s for a web page, article, photo, or other piece of content. Then the user can share the comment on Facebook on their Wall and in their friends’ streams.”

Doesn’t mention anything about posting to the application wall…
