RapidWeaver 6.3.5

Please could you contact us directly about this?

Thanks!

@instacks - i find this is usually that there is not enough space for it to open. Try temporarily making the window bigger or (if that’s not possible) hiding the Source List (the list of pages) and Stacks Library to give it some extra space.

Isaiah

I have experienced two issues with version 6.3.5 (both reproducible):

  1. In Stacks 3 the update mechanism somehow doesn’t work anymore. The search for updates goes much faster than before, but doesn’t find any updates. When turning back to 6.3.4 everything’s back to normal again and updates come dropping in again.

  2. With one project I experienced that both edit mode and preview mode do look very strange (wrong fonts, missing pictures etc.). See screenshots here: https://db.tt/74ImPzgQ

By the way: I’m on El Capitan…

Please give it a test with the next beta.

New build:

  • Fixes a crash while RapidWeaver tidied up after performing a series of concurrent uploads.
  • Fixes some display issues in the Affero theme.
  • Fixes a problem where a blog’s RSS feed would not be sorted reverse-chronologically.
  • Fixes a problem where site-wide code would be exported for each page.
  • Improvements to notification preferences.
  • Fixes a problem where RapidWeaver would be unable to generate QuickLook thumbnails for some themes.
  • Fixes a problem where images would not load from a remote server.
  • Fixes a problem with Addon update checking in RapidWeaver and third-party plugins.

Just a quick not that we’re aware of an issue w/build 15097 where site-wide code is not generated in RW’s Preview mode. We’ll (obviously) get this addressed in the next beta.

Cheers!

Yesterday, it was working again with RW 6.3.5.
Today, the problem is back. No QuickLook thumbnail, especially with Tesla.

After re-storing the file, the thumbnail is back with a project (tesla-banner). the project Tesla shows only very briefly the thumbnail, then it disappears immediately.

Please could you send us a project file so we can take a look?

Thanks.

Here the RW file.

It’s only this RW project.
When I create a new project (tesla2), the thumbnail is here.

Thanks, Oscar. Will take a look at this (though, might not be for 6.3.5 - we want to get some of the fixes out ASAP!).

Any one having problems with the blog template not displaying the archived posts?

Hi Nik

I’ve upgraded to version 6 ok. When I open my old .rwsw file the message says “New RapidWeaver Project Created” with some other text but the pages in the resultant project file are blank apart from the template information. All context has gone. I tried the latest beta available from the forums in case that solved the problem but not. Each time I open an old .rwsw file it ‘converts’ ok but the output has zero content. It does keep all the pages with their titles - just the content is blank whether views in Edit or Preview model. Hope you can help !

Maurice

Could you confirm which version of RW you’re using (the build # is in the About window)? A project file would be very helpful in figuring out what’s going on…

Were your old .rwsw files opened and saved with RapidWeaver 5.4.1? Check this upgrade guide:

Hi Nik, Yes, it all worked flawlessly but the resulting files have zero content. Here’s the before and after files as a single zip (it may take a moment for them to upload to dropbox): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3962425/Teaching-15-16-SCM-01.zip
Thanks

Sure, will try and report back to you.
