So please explain because I lost the point.
Rapidcart Pro was a standalone and we where waiting for rapidcart 4.
two different products

Did you merge the two products in Rapidcart 4 pro?
I own Rapidcart 3 and I was waiting for the long waited Rapidcart 4, but I don’t know what is going on now

RapidCart Pro 4 now comes in two flavours: Starter and Advanced.

Any RapidCart 3 license can be upgraded to either RapidCart Pro Starter or Advanced.

the coupon doesn’t seem to change the checkout price, am I doing something wrong?

Does Rapidcart 4 Advanced now support Stripe recurring payments for subscriptions?

Recurring payments are not supported ATM.

Ha!. Just had this asked by someone. Hoping “ATM” is not too long…

Using RCP4 now and got complaints from customers when paying via Paypal. I want to know if customer payment was not successful, paying by credit card not Paypal account, do customer know that payment was unsuccessful? I had customer tonight waiting for her dinner because she received confirmed order when placing the order. However, I had not received any Paypal confirmation or order from her. This is not the first time. I have to tell customers to send me a Paypal confirmation email to verify that their payment was successful. Some customers understood that their payment didn’t go through, some don’t and they were very angry that no one told them what happened and they’re hungry.
No problem when paying cash. Orders come right away.

In summary, customer got order in their hands instantly when they placed the orders (whether or not their payment was successful) while we did not get anything.

What can we do?

Do your buyers get an error when authorizing the payment or on confirmation?
Once PayPal is chosen as payment method, buyer is redirected to PayPal website to authorize the transaction, then he’s redirected back to your store for review and confirmation.

Buyer gets a big “There was a problem processing your order.” error message when something went wrong with his purchase (see image below).

By the way you can see logs of all live and sandbox transaction in PayPal Developer dashboard.
Visit http://developer.paypal.com > Dashboard > Live (or Sandbox) > Transactions for all logs.

Hi Rob,

I don’t know if customers got this alert page but sure they got replied orders from my website, thought their orders went through and await their meals. I just realised when they called the restaurant to follow-up orders which I never got. Headache now.

I copy the page from my Paypal Dev. Data tells nothing but I think the transaction ending with “/execute/” are successful payments. The last 5 transactions were mine tried to order. I think the one that starting with “ab62…” is what she made payment and unsuccessful.

execute entries are actual payments, the other ones are authorizations.
I don’t see any problems here.
You should contact your hosting provider to see if order receipts were lost somewhere.
Anyway with RapidCart Pro Advanced Edition you can save orders in database and see them in admin area.

How do you activate the customs fields in the checkout?

I am very much enjoying the new version of RapidCart Pro.

I have a question that I hope is an easy one.

When I have a download item in my catalog with a price of zero, it appears as “free” in the customer’s cart.

In the check out process I would like it to just skip the Payment tab. But instead it goes to the Payemnt tab, tries to go to PayPal, and then returns an error message and doesn’t continue. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?"

PayPal doesn’t accept 0 as amount to pay, this is why you get an error.
We’ll introduce a new option to offer different payment methods based on cart total, for example Direct Order for free orders.

No ETA at the moment, sorry.
