What would you like to see in RapidWeaver 7?

I would like to see a possibility to copy meta tags from one page to another.

@barz-stacks In @joeworkman 's Foundation there are seo stacks that when partialed do exactly that so itā€™s certainly possible using stacks.

PS Hereā€™s a test of you Filter stacks being controlled by TotalCMS http://www.sandbox.paulrus.com/barzfilter/

We donā€™t have any plans for RW on iOS. iOS has no support or concept of third-party plugins, and our focus as a small team is on making the Mac version even better with every release.

Ability to add js libraries.

Could you elaborate? How would you envisage this feature working?

Thanks!

ā€”Nik

Hi Nik. It would be cool to add specific libraries to a project like jquery. I know there are work arounds (and I end up editing the HTML in a different editor), but it would be awesome to have a way to select custom code libraries or add your own. Iā€™m thinking of an interface like the one used in CodePen or jsfiddle. Thoughts?

How about ā€œHide Allā€ and ā€œUnhide Allā€ buttons.
That would be a time saver.

Thank you.

Better blog pages. ImageOptim built in. Some sort of background grid/ruler for when youā€™re trying to size that image just right in a Theme with insufficient documentation.

Integration with typed.com :grinning:

Until a Typed integration is available inside RW directly, check out the stack therefore.

Having two sets of publishing credentials - a live set and a testing set, and flag to indicate which is the ā€œactiveā€ publishing setā€¦

El Capitan (and future releases) Split Screen Support. Currently El Capitan says RW is not available for split screen.

Unfortunately we canā€™t currently offer this. OS X only makes an appā€™s window visible if the minimum size of both windows fits the screen. From Appleā€™s developer documentation:

Window minimum sizes are respected, so you are only able to combine two windows if their combined minimum widths fit within the width of the screen.

We donā€™t plan to make the minimum window size smaller, as most plugin UIs have a considerable amount of content they need to show. But if thereā€™s anything we can change that doesnā€™t affect the display of projects, weā€™ll certainly see what we can do

@tevpot get BetterSnapTool its better than the one built into OSX and RW happily does what you want.

@PaulRussam Thanks, will look into that

A proper in depth RW7 Manual.
The one written by Paul Bradforth is the best so far, but that one is for RW5.

Weā€™re working on it. Itā€™ll debut for RW6 first however.

Context sensitive Help.

Right now you go to help and little comes up when you search for a phrase. The rapid weaver manual is a FAQ page.

Ideally you would also allow help within rapid weaver for Themeā€™s Plugins and stacks, all from a single source. Kinda like the data dictionary in apple script. Not suggesting RealMac maintain what is published, but provide the format and lookup tool, the developer would be responsible for providing the input.

Iā€™m new to rapid weaver and find it frustrating that everythng is done via on-line videos. Videos are great for learning a new product but not good for reference. Right now to do something as simple in a plug in you have to find the venders website and look for there help or watch a video after you find the right one.

The following (built in) options:

  • Comments
  • Register or Log in
  • Connection to a DataBase

That would be great.

someone (hopefully) may have mentioned this: when working in Preview mode, to, say, adjust CSS, etc., please provide some method to stop/restart the automatic page refresh. Terribly difficult to type in code, make a mistake, have the page refresh, lose your place, have to get it back again, start typing, and have the page refresh, lather, rinse repeatā€¦

That is my ā€œthis bothers me the mostā€ thingā€¦
