# A Rapidweaver website can it be Published on a UNIX based platform?

A Rapidweaver website can it be Published on a UNIX based platform or do i have to have a Windows platform  
absolutely… I’m asking cause i already have a shared host with a site on a Unix Platform so i was wondering  
if there will be any “tricks” to start bypassing stuff or will it be more complicated to store it on Unix platform…  
im planning on using a database too…

I would say most are probably on UNIX or lunix running Apache web server.

I also have had sites hosted on Windows servers.

The vast majority of websites are hosted on linux servers, very few on Windows.

If you are going to use any stacks that need PHP or add any PHP code to your site, you are going to want Unix servers. Windows can run PHP, but not that well.
