Adding functionality to Split theme

Hey,

Two small modifications I’d like to make to my site www.actionecology.com (that uses the Split theme)… but am not sure how to go about it.

  1. I am trying to work out how I could add a ‘captcha’ to the contact form on my site - to avoid the loads of spam I’m getting… and
  2. I’d like to be able to add a ‘subscribe’ feature to the Journal (blog) page so that when I add a new item (poster stack) people can be notified.

These seem like reasonably minor things, but was wondering if that’s the case or am I better just doing a whole site redesign?

Ok, I just worked out how to add a mandatory tick box to the contact form… lol …that’s one down. (No idea why I didn’t see that before!). Hopefully that stops bots??
