Nice job already!
Hi Dan,
One thing that would be really useful for me would be to make it possible for the user to widen the right hand section of the Online Editor, (where the Front Matter is entered). This is currently only c35 characters wide, which makes editing longer material difficult. Being able to drag this to be wider and thus make the data entry fields also wider, would make my workflow much easier.
Many Thanks
Brett
Point 1 - Thanks but it is not the first time it has been requested there have been numerous discussions around the same topic - whether to have things open in same place or to have a global option to open and close all e.g. Expand items in resources it was discusses early in beta stages too.
Point 2 - Thanks again, however I get this (see image below) when I right click on any resource listing thats why I asked. Also I did not know what I wanted that’s why I wanted to scroll down to look. ![]()
Point 3 - I started quite clearly by saying “this is not a criticism” and also “I love Elements” yet your response IMO was not required. I have been with this since early Beta days, I am fully committed to Elements, I have Elements Hosting and I fully understand your working model completely. I use AI from time myself too and have done since early Beta days. I also stated that it is a “balancing act” and I am not in any way shape or form criticising you. The simple point I was making is if you look at the community discussions overall there are always similar requests for the same things - these are not necessarily simple or possible - but they are being asked still.
As I said I love Elements and I often complimented you on what your doing and will also continue this - so have a good weekend!
Sure, but everything has a priority. This is way down on the list. I’m sure we’ll get to it, but it’s not a make-or-break feature imho.
That’s separate, they are built-in resources. You can only reorder your own resources.
Thanks.
Agreed, this would be a nice addition. We’ll see what we can do!
Super! Thanks!
@dan on the developer side, I’m looking for ways to make this service more useful for product support,
It could be helpful to include an additional file in products with specific instructions for the AI. This would allow it to better understand the features of a component or a project and provide more relevant guidance to users.
For projects, it could even point users directly to specific elements through classes or IDs.
Could that make sense?
Yes, exactly! We’ve already been experimenting with ways to guide the AI on how to better understand components. More on that later!
I also have some ideas on how to make the component project more preparatory to its implementation, so that it has specifications identifiable by the AI.
This would be truly fantastic for projects because it would allow for a contextual and extremely precise guide that provides answers even to general questions.
And if you’d like to get me involved, I’d be happy to collaborate. ![]()
That’s very handy. Will it at some point be able to - let’s say - add Schema / Structured Data to a page?
Just to say thank you here. AI sure can be a wonderful tool. I utilized the assistance of Gemini to help me get over a hurdle and it worked really well as it also explained various functions and why things work in certain ways. I could see it was able to search through your tutorials, comprehend, and focus on the issue at hand. It has given me the confidence to move forward. I love your tutorial videos too, there’s a lot to discover and take in for a new person. What about an AI “for dummies”, I can now see you have an AI bot - I haven’t used that yet, so that may already hold the assistance I found with Gemini. The more I see here, the more exciting it all is.
I hope the Ai will be based on the foundation model or in the alternative individual choice of the user. The new Xcode is very nice in the way it is working with the Ai as a companion to assist in the code structures.
