# AI Writing Assistant: How to add your Claude/OpenAI API key

You have to do this from the desktop Claude app, there’s no way to do this in the CMS Dashboard.

Don’t forget the Claude Cowork tab can have access to your Mac so you can do even more advanced workflow, [like uploading markdown files or images directly from the Finder](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/getting-started-with-claude-and-the-mcp-server-in-elements-cms/56361) or on a schedule, it’s really powerful!
