# Alphabetical order

Anyone know of a Stack (or routine that can be placed in a Stack without issue) that will sort a long **list of names into alphabetical order** - dynamically?

I don’t want to have to export it to _BBEdit_ and do it manually every time I add a name - which is often.

There is pack of OS X services called WordService which includes “Sort lines ascending” and “Sort lines descending”, [http://appstore.com/mac/wordservice](http://appstore.com/mac/wordservice) or from the developer’s site under Freeware [http://www.devontechnologies.com/download/products.html](http://www.devontechnologies.com/download/products.html). You will have to select the list in the stack and apply the service (from the Services menu or contextual menu) but there is no need to open an external editor. I find it quite convenient.
