The second version of The Little Book of Elements CMS is now ready. This 1.01 version fixes a few typos, clarifies where to get a particular Component, and adds a chapter on using the CMS for articles (e.g. a replacement for the current Typography via Markdown). It’s still available for free, though if you want me to keep adding things, you might want to change the price in the cart from $0.00 to a minimum of $5.00 (not required, but it sends a signal ;~).
The next chapter I’m contemplating adding is a big one: Using YAML as a Static Database. Yep, Markdown takes on SQL. (Well, sort of.) I discovered this little “feature” while trying to figure out how to bring over certain features of my existing sites.
