Is anybody using Apple Numbers as the source for their CSV Table? When I export a table from Pages as a .csv file and then drop it to the data source window, I get an error when previewing the page.

They don’t look comma separated to me;

Company;Ticker;Weight
APPLE;TST;10 %
MELI;TST;10 %
SE;TST;10 %

Interesting, could be the language/region setting? Maybe. Its simple Excel table, I thought it gets transferred automatically.

EU Company;Ticker;Weight APPLE;TST;10 % MELI;TST;10 % SE;TST;10 %

US Company,Ticker,Weight APPLE,TST,10% MELI,TST,10% SE,TST,10%

As I understand it, comma-separated is the standard for CSV in the USA/UK. However, in most EU countries, it is a semicolon. This has to do with the number format in those countries.

Two possibilities:

- Create a comma-separated export instead of semicolon-separated.

- Or (much better 😉 ) ask RealMac if an option can be added to Elements to also be able to import a semicolon-separated CSV.

To create a comma-separated CSV with Numbers:
In MacOS in System Settings go to “General \> Language & Region”. Change “Number format” to “1,234,567.89” (first option). Make your export to CSV and then change the System Setting back to “1.234.567,89”.

Yes, thats what I think is happening. The conversion is fast, I just was not expecting this drag and drop function not to work. The workaround is fast, so all is good but I am not using anything complicated like live data updates.
