Thought I couldn’t edit it or change it - without a lot of work - Got 4 Pages of 100 songs (65 on the last page)

Right Click select similar - do the edits - Fantastic!

I don’t know if it needs to stabilize or what - any ideas would be helpful

3 Gigabytes of Music Files!!! 100 Audio Players per page

_Because Dreamhost is unlimited storage - unlimited bandwidth - I am keeping the files on Dreamhost and not a CDN_

Sometimes you press play on a song and it doesn’t play for 30 seconds or doesn’t show playbar animation…

Trying to go the cheaper route and not pay a CDN.

Whittled the graphics down as far as possible…

Thoughts?

Explanations of why I’m wrong about CDN?

Etc?

Could be zip backup at DreamHost…

Thom said if you interrupt a zip backup it leaves the channel open

However, if you’re using Elements to publish directly to Dreamhost, there’s one thing you need to know: do not interrupt a ZIP backup operation. Doing so will make your site unreachable from Elements (it still works fine for site visitors) until the daily reset. I learned this the hard way. I was doing a…

Just checked the first mp3 file on the page and it’s 8.9Mb, that’s fairly big.

The downloaded speed on your files was very hit and miss. I don’t know what plan your on, or how things are set up with Dreamhost, but it felt slower than it should be. I think ti would be worth dropping an email to their support to see what they say.

Cloudflare R2 object storage gives you 10 GB of storage for free, so if you’ve only got 3 GB of music, you might consider storing your audio files there and serving them from Cloudflare. That would push the processing and bandwidth from your Dreamhost server to Cloudflare, which could help speed up page load speed and audio response times.

If you’d like to explore that option feel free to let me know, I’ve set up lots of Cloudflare R2 buckets.
