Hey Weavers,
The important information first! We’re aiming to ship **a build of Elements with AI integration later this month**. This will include **bring your own API keys** and full **MCP support**. These same AI features will be available across our Base, Plus, and Pro plans at no extra cost.
We have some preliminary [Elements AI Documentation](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/using-elements/elements-ai) that is worth reading to learn more about how the API keys and MCP are setup.
**On with today’s HUGE announcement.**
Elements AI can now **build and refine custom components**. Describe what you need, and Elements AI can create it for you, opening up an almost limitless range of possibilities for your website. Not only will it create the component you need for the page, but it can also generate the native Element controls you need to edit the settings.

> - **Flexible Integration:** Users can utilize AI in two ways: through an **MCP server** that connects to existing apps like _ChatGPT_ or _Claude_ (1:17-1:36), or via a **built-in AI assistant** that requires your own _OpenAI_ or _Anthropic_ API keys (2:00-2:36).
> - **Vibe Coding Components:** The AI can generate code for custom components (like a cursor-following inverter or 3D objects) and even create **inspector controls** so users can adjust settings without writing code themselves (4:05-4:53, 10:34-11:08).
> - **Iterative Refinement:** If a component doesn’t work perfectly on the first try, users can prompt the AI to fix specific glitches or add new functionality, such as toggles or visual changes, directly within the editor (7:33-9:33).
> - **AI Wiki:** A project-specific context tool that allows the AI to “remember” design preferences, brand tone, and site colors for future reference (15:38-16:53).

> Elements AI is designed to act as an assistant rather than replacing the user’s creative control, and it will be released in a **beta state** to gather user feedback (14:52-15:10, 17:15-17:34).
We’re incredibly excited about what this will unlock for our customers. Instead of waiting for us to add a particular component or feature, you’ll increasingly be able to just **ask Elements to build exactly what you need**.
And remember, if you’re not interested in AI, or you don’t want to build it yourself, you’ll still be able to buy a whole range of polished and supported components from the [Elements Store](https://store.elementsapp.io).

Absolutely amazing Dan
Feel for the developers though they have been sherlocked. This is something I thought would happen a long time ago when you started to tease the AI integration.
Hope it doesn’t cause you to much pushback and broken relationships in the future.

I’m hoping there might be an upcoming option to run our own LLMs using Ollama or LM Studio for those of us who would prefer to keep everything local and private?

Yes, you’ll want to use the MCP option in that case, that way you can connect anything you like to Elements that supports MCP (including apps like LM Studio) 🙂

This is really impressive well done. I had no idea we’d be able to create custom components.
The thing I’m looking forward to the most is the MCP support I use SuperGrok a lot. Glad I made the move over from Classic with so many exciting things coming up. Keep up the good work.

Just remember when making your own component to check with the latest elements api (as it changes) and to perhaps build against the latest beta…

If you’re using the AI Assistant or MCP you won’t need to check against the latest Elements API, it’s all baked in, the app will always have the most up-to-date information 😉

It’s pretty wild, the bots can talk to each other and work on tasks between themselves. I’d recommend doing a google search on how to use GrokBot to get the most out of it 😉

It would be really great if you guys built a connector for Perplexity Computer. Would REALLY love to be able to build in Elements from Perplexity.

Perplexity do have their own [guide on connecting to local MCP’s](https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/11502712-local-and-remote-mcps-for-perplexity#h_2c7ef0caea). Hopefully this will help you get things up and running.
