I want to build a footer with two or three different columns that are completely separate from each other ie. Whatever I try flex grid or container the spacing is mirrored on all. I want a row of 7 evenly spaced text one side, with part text in two columns on the 2nd column with a picture beneath. As soon as the picture goes in the spacing on the 1st column opens up ruining the layout. How do I achieve this please? ---

do you have an image or a live example of what you’re trying to achieve (perhaps you’ve seen this on another site)? We can then whip up an example for you 🙂 ---

attempt to replicate, above mobile the split is 1 - 1, mobile it is 4 - 2 not sure what ratios you wanted, no real spacing applied, grids have different background colors to show them, you could have 7 - 4, or 5 - 4 for mobile just with grid not used flex ---

Many thanks for your quick response Steve, unfortunately this one I can’t quite get my head around the settings used. It would appear that the lefthand column is made up of a grid 2 containers and 2 text elements the right hand column is container inside the 2nd grid column and text for the heading but unsure how the responsive 2 columns are made up I have tried the container as a a 2 column grid but it just seems to produce one drop zone, I have tried 2 grids but they don’t collapse on top of its neighbouring grid. the Container and the image I guess look straightforward. This is just one way, not sure exactly how you would want the ratios each side The change is made from mobile to sm this is just 2 cols / 2 cols with the grids I have written ‘next screen 1’ and ‘next screen 2’ , both switching from 1 col to 2 cols, they then change row position I didn’t need to blue dot as many as I did, that was just for me to adjust col ratio’s Not sure if this makes sense, I could create a video of how I did this grid [elementsapp://downloadDocument/mGPl2BMUUpCI](elementsapp://downloadDocument/mGPl2BMUUpCI) flex. not finished, need to sort out image [elementsapp://downloadDocument/PNxGyhz2qJDI](elementsapp://downloadDocument/PNxGyhz2qJDI) ---
