# Can I just ignore anything Elements related?

I have used RapidWeaver forever…currently Version 9.6.8…I tend to ignore any emails to do with reference to Elements. My site is very small with maybe 5-10 updates each year. I would have purchased Elements if it had been easy to post PDFs which we use a lot. I doubt we will ever need a new website but not totally sure. I apologize if this is a dopey question…should I be paying attention to Elements info/updates or figure it out if and when the time comes. Will I be given lots of notice if RapidWeaver Classic is slated to be supported no longer? Thanks!

You can safely stay on classic.
Perhaps - just perhaps take a look at some getting started with elements videos
1 st time shock
2 nd time interesting
3 time viewing maybe like to try…. 🙂

Thank you…I will. Ya know…I made my first and only website (_same one I update to this day)_ from near scratch in an adult learning course at a technical school back in the early 2000s…it just seems to have gotten so much more complicated…unfortunately…me and my brain have not kept up.

Not an unusual question at all!
Right now, Realmac still support RapidWeaver (now known as RapidWeaver Classic).
If you only use the built-in features of RapidWeaver, you’ll be fine. Realmac will at some point in the future stop supporting it, but you’ll have plenty of time if that moment comes.
What _can_ be problematic, is if you use plugins from third-part developers. You might have noticed a pop-up that says something in the line of “This version of RapidWeaver will no longer work on future versions of macOS”. This would be caused by such a plugin. If that plugin’s developer does not update that plugin, this might cause problems.
