# Chillidog hosting. Problems with the new Exact Hosting Service

I’m having nite mares with the new hosting service that took over from Chillidog.
Weeks on and I still cannot connect with the server to publish sites.
No phone support - I’ve wasted 5 hours on this again over the weekend.
The chat box is the only way to talk to them and I was on there for 2 hours on Saturday. It still wasn’t fixed. In the end, i used Ai and got into the root folder via the server ip address.
Someone here must have also transferred over as well - if so what server address did you use? They gave me [hera.exacthosting.com:21](http://hera.exacthosting.com:21) this crashes RW , when i try to save. It’s not RW ( other client websites will publish and save to their own hosting accounts ). It’s not my settings as Cyber duck wont connect either ( this happens at work and at home - two different internet accounts )
So wondered who else has been moved to Exact ?
The problem is that as i have to update clients sites , if i get another problem in the future, they won’t or cant fix it, where does that leave me.

Hey @leigh,
Sorry you’re having so much trouble.
I was with Dreamhost until last week when I switched to Elements Hosting. The differences in speed are noticeable.
The migration was really easy and I didn’t run into any technical issues. I use Transmit to manage my files and had no issues.
Support is great. It’s worth considering if you want your web hosting to just work in the background without having to think about it much.

Ticket? - oh yes !! they said they had made a change to the server on Sunday night, but it still doesn’t work. So its now Tuesday and heard nothing back. There is no sense of urgency at all to be honest. This isn’t about whether the hosting is good or bad, its about the fact I havent been able to publish change to clients sites since chillidog sold out. Which is quite a while now. This must be across the board. But why would someone buy another company and immediately lose all the new clients?? very odd. You’d think they would try to impress.

Consider leaving them behind and moving to another hosting company, as I did: Elements Hosting. Works like a charm.

Continuing the discussion from [Chillidog hosting. Problems with the new Exact Hosting Service](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/chillidog-hosting-problems-with-the-new-exact-hosting-service/56037):So - I am not alone with Exact’s problems!! I am beyond words about Exacthosting. Greg (Chillidog guru) was a huge help to me when I was having serious problems with ASO (don’t ask …) years ago. Why he sold Chillidog is beyond me but I’m sure he had his reasons. That said I have had it with Exact. They take forever to respond and when they do the links are dead, yada, yada. So I will take a look at Elements Hosting.

I was very frustrated with Exact, so I moved to ElementsHosting, and I am glad I did. Highly recommended!

All,
I had 3 websites with ChilliDog after my server company across the street got bought out. I did not get any emails when Chilli was bought out. I only noticed getting a charge for yearly service with Exact and that’s when I found out things had changed. I got the emails changed pretty quickly (5 of them) and then the FTP for the base website. But last week I tried to update the other two websites and FTP didn’t work. So I created a ticket and really no help. So then I tried the base website FTP and that didn’t work. Yesterday my cPanel login didn’t work and I had to change my password in the Exact site login for the 4th time. Today I just got an email from Exact saying they were glad everything is working??? Nothing is working!

That’s 'EXACT’ly why so many ex-Chillidoggers have switched to Elements hosting!
