Cinema theme - How to add google map code

(Roby Ravanello) #1

How can i add go0gle map code to the left of contact form fields?

(Scott Steven) #2

I would suggest a stacks page. Should be straight forward with that

(Roby Ravanello) #3

Ok but i’m a newbie about RW

Maybe i can trasform the contact page in a 2 column page with form fields to the left and google map to the right?

You can use the sidebar for this.
Set the sidebar in your theme to “left” and copy the google map code in the sidebar. When its to small, perhaps you can adjuste the widht of your sidebar in the settings of your theme.
Wich theme you are using?

Cinema theme.-
I add the code but in the left sidebar appears … the html code :expressionless:

(Oscar Schmid) #6

… one should be able to read

Cinema theme I have not.
I have the code in the sidebar and the map is here !?

(Oscar Schmid) #7

Have the theme I have seen !

Its good, you can set the sidebar normal, wide, narrow.

(Roby Ravanello) #8

I’ve set all things like in your example but cant see the map in sidebar :smiling_imp:

Sometimes you have to highlight the text and go to Format in the menu bar and down to ignore formatting.

(Roby Ravanello) #10

Done this too … the map doesnt appear …

(Oscar Schmid) #11

Cannot be.

Code in the sidebar create a Google Map iframe. In the sidebar “styled” or “HTML”.

… but only, when you are online with your computer/RapidWeaver !!

Can you publish a screenshot?

Try this code

<iframe src="https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m12!1m3!1d1940.4246084885565!2d8.46061769010294!3d47.17840786726363!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!5e1!3m2!1sde!2sch!4v1461153828422" width="250" height="450" frameborder="0" style="border:0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

(Roby Ravanello) #12

Obviously i’m online every time with my mac

(Roby Ravanello) #13

Your code goes well.
My is different, i cant see 'maps/embed? etc. … but i’ve obtained the code from google maps …

UPDATE

Problem solved.

Thanks

(Oscar Schmid) #14

… my pleasure …

Your code was for ExtraContent1.

(Roby Ravanello) #15

A bunch of other doubts about this theme:
-i’ve seen in the demo page that there is a built-in movie page. How can i find it to create a video portfolio page?
-After publishing i’ve in the first top line a code UA-something but i dont know what is this …

(Oscar Schmid) #16

In RapidWeaver 6 there is no longer a plugin Movie Album like in RW 5.
You can use Stacks and his many possibilities for movies.

Can you post a link to your website!

(Roby Ravanello) #18

And why actually there is a movie page in the online demo?

(Brad Halstead) #19

@Roby962

Roby, I would contact 1 Little Designer support because this theme is a RW5 theme upgraded for RW6 in 2015. That’s why you see the movie page…

Some info about the Theme is here.

@Oscar has given you the optional method of embedding movies in RW6.

I don’t know. Perhaps the tutorial is for RW 5 Version or simply outdated
(the Movie example page don’t work on the iPhone and on the/my computer)

I see this code too. Perhaps some remainder of code, of Google Analytics Code.
You have such code in “Prefix”?
