# Click worthy links

Anyone familiar with [Bitly](https://bitly.com) and if it is of any value to use??  
my wife got introduced to it and Im trying to figure what it’s use scenario would be.  
Any thoughts or experienced user feedback…

This can be a data protection hazard (personal info is transmitted to bitly and stored outside EU so you can not use these links for customers coming from EU imho, contents of the short links could lead to malware-ridden sites and are thus susceptible by default).

I do not think the advantages are so great as to use it. If you just need a URL shortener, go for: [https://t1p.de](https://t1p.de) (german and gdpr compatible, but you can use google translate).
