Thanks, but that log was from earlier in the night. All pages are now index.php and no joy. I created the logs folder and turned on Honey Pot. Site is [N1ET Contact Page](https://test-n1et.bobsimoneau.com/contact/)

Thanks to help from [Jan Fuellemann](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/u/fuellemann) I can see that neither the email or logs directory is published to the test site. They are not present in the local publish either. The attached picture shows the current structure under the api directory.

@dan What we are missing is the …/rw/elements/com.realmac.corepack/api/email file or directory. In the console, you will see a 404 whenever the SUBMIT button is hit and we see the error message. Do you have an idea why this is not published? Has this been omitted by one of the last updates?

Thank you 🙂

Sounds like a “Re-Publish All Files” is required. You could also try exporting locally and see if everything is there.

“Re-Publish All Files” done multiple times with no change. I just exported the site, and the directories missing there also.

It is important to check what the apicheck says.
It must show a green bar saying “Elements API is working as expected.”

…/contact.php?apicheck

Have you tried this?

If you see nothing, the php version is not correct. I have 8.1 but would NOT work, so I requested upgrade on the php to version 8.3.8

I too have spent hours and still the form doesn’t work. Seems to me Dan and Tom have their heads in the sand on this one, tried it at all the api check is 100% positive, the same settings work flawlessly in Joes’s stacks and I am about to ditch Elements unless a solution arrives today.

Starting to think Joe is right tailwind might be great for simplicity but when it comes to the clever stuff it falls apart

You won’t find a physical `/email` folder inside the api directory — and that’s completely expected.

The API is built using a router-based system (like many modern frameworks), which means URLs like `/api/email` are _virtual routes_, not actual folders. When you make a request to `/api/email`, the request is routed internally by the app (usually via an index.php file) to the appropriate function or controller that handles email sending.

So even though the folder structure doesn’t show an email subdirectory, the logic for handling `/email` is still there, just behind the scenes.

Yesterday I tried the contact form at PHP version 8.1 thru 8.4 with no joy. The ?APICheck failed on each too.

@graham-sm1th do you have a URL I can take a look at?

> [@graham-sm1th](#):

Just to clarify: **Tailwind is a CSS framework** , so it only handles styling (like layout, colors, spacing). It has nothing to do with how forms work or how they submit to PHP scripts.

If something’s not working with form submissions, it’s likely a backend or JavaScript issue and not a problem with Tailwind itself.

Tailwind us responsible for how things _look_, not how they _work_.
