# Copy Paste Formatted Text from RWC to Elements

Trying to Copy and Paste - Not Working

Made my own theme setting - Not Working

I seem to have to insert extra spaces  
Some text doesn’t go directly below the previous line

Sometimes the text view can be a little finicky (we have a little more work to do there).  
You might just need to remove the line breaks then re-add them — Failing that, send your project over to me and I can show you how to fix it.

Going to try and load it pages and remove formatting- then load it into elements … been thinking overnight 🙂

didn’t work - tried plain text export

looks good in Elements until you load the page in Safari

Hi @MichaelDroste,

Can you send me the document you copied and pasted the text from? We can then try to reproduce the issue here and get it fixed.

In the meantime, I think you can fix this by removing the carriage returns in Elements (from the pasted text) and re-entering them. This should maintain the correct spacing when you preview.

Hi,

isnt the text that you paste in just plain? And then you have to use the “Block Style \> Type” to seperate them out?

In plain HTML carriage returns wont work either, unless you are in a `<pre ...>` tag.
