I have some Gumlet video links for each of my products, I made a custom HTML component where I insert the embed code for each video on each product page. Originally these html components showed up with their correct name shown in the app. However today when I opened the app and started editing a page for a new video I noticed that they are now being called “unknown”.

I had Claude take a look at it returned the following information:

I found it. On each product page, the container that shows as “Unknown” in Elements holds one node whose `type` is `BDA5B99D-AED7-4A78-8C84-EDE5D2BC3576` — that’s not a built-in component keyword, it’s the ID of a **custom component** you built called **“Gumlet Video.”**

Custom components are referenced by their ID (not a name) in the page data, so this isn’t corruption — the instance is correctly wired to your Gumlet Video component. The “Unknown” label is Elements failing to resolve that ID to its title in the editor UI for some reason (possibly a stale index, or the app not finding the custom component definition at render time for that inspector view), even though the component itself still exists in your project (`listCustomComponents` finds it fine)

Maybe Dan or one of the high level thinkers in Elements can take a look?

Thanks.

I’ve seen this happen before, did you try restarting Elements? That usually fixes it.

@colinmac can you create a ticket for @tpbradley to look into?

Hi Dan, hi Jeff,

I’ve flagged this for Tom to look into. Sounds like the custom component is still wired up correctly and the label is just failing to resolve in the editor. Restarting Elements is a good first try if you have not already.

Will keep an eye out once there is more to share.

I logged out of Elements then logged back in and there was no change.

Thanks.

Just to confirm, you restarted Elements? (not logged in and out of Elements Cloud)

Can you share the project via [Elements Cloud](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/using-elements/elements-cloud) so we can take a look?

Just to note I’ve seen this one, too. And restarting Elements didn’t help.

Thanks.
