# Dark mode issues for text components

I’m working on supporting dark mode on [my website](https://whois.numericcitizen.me). I’m slowly getting there, but I’m hitting issues with the dark mode. As seen in [this video demo](https://cloud.numericcitizen.me/6DqmFGPW), I’ve shown the setting I’m using in Elements (Set Colour) for both light and dark mode on the text component. What am I doing wrong?

If you’re using the typography component, you should use the settings under Typography in the Theme Studio to style it…

Well, I thought about that after posting my question. I started playing with it but I feedl that some components are overriding this… investigating. Thanks for pointing that to me.
