I continue to hope… I updated to the last version and tried to import my Classic web site again but even links in texts are not imported (and I have lots of them on my pages, and do not have time recreate them again).
More recently, I switched to Markdown pages and they do not seem converted either. I just see the Markdown code (I have not exported my web site, but I see Markdown when I preview, so…).
Given the amount of time that would be necessary to convert everything to elements or to recreate them, I cannot switch yet and will continue in Classic, even I am pessimists about its future, considering that it would be costly for you to maintain both platforms. I invested quite a lot of time over the years on my RW web site and I am quite saddened by the current situation. I hope that you will offer a real migration for at least standard stacks.
If I may offer a suggestion for this feature: I’ve tried importing several RapidWeaver Classic projects, and the page content always comes in as a mess. If I were @dan or @ben, I’d skip importing the content altogether—it’s essentially useless as-is, and I end up deleting it anyway.
That said, the import is still valuable because it automatically creates all the pages and populates titles and meta descriptions and also brings in all the resources. For me, that’s plenty—I can take it from there and rebuild the content myself.
