# Duplicate a 'Global' Grid Item - Bug

For me the right click duplication of grid items, previously being converted to a global, does not work.  
However, when using drag & drop while holding the option key it **will work** , as long as the duplicated grid **item is dropped _above_** the current item.  
When the duplicated grid item is **dropped _below and indented_** the current item, **elements shows the beach ball** and needs to be force quit.

Ah I see the problem, I think you are trying to duplicate a global into the same global. I’ve managed to reproduce the bug here and we have this marked down to fix.
