I published a blog today [From C++, Swift, and Python to Rust & CQRS: The Multi-Language Evolution of LogViewer](https://cycleruncode.club/blog/post/?item=logviewer-evolution-qt-to-rust)

The problem statement: There was an URL in there which I forgot to update before I published i.e. [https://cycleruncode.club/blogs/blog/cqrs-pattern-macappupdater/](https://cycleruncode.club/blogs/blog/cqrs-pattern-macappupdater/)

I realised this and updated the URL and republished - [Scaling to 1.5 Billion Lookups: Why We Chose CQRS over NoSQL](https://cycleruncode.club/blog/post/?item=cqrs-pattern-macappupdater)

Now this happed to be about two hours difference; so I was expecting the post to be updated now.

Issue:

1. The blog did not get updated, the URL still stayed the same old.
  - Tested in 3 different browsers
  - Tested incognito mode

2. Logged into to server and found
  - The same md file with yesterday’s date (was in **draft** state) and today’s date
  - Removed yesterday’s dated file
  - Tried to re-publish via Elements, still no success
  - Edited the md file directly on the server and all seem fine

Help:

1. What did I do wrong
2. Why did the site not get updated when locally everything seems to work and links have been updated?
3. If I publish a new blog / site update later in the next couple of days; should I expect the issue to be resolved? If this continues to happens, what are my options?

Not sure I understand the sequence/actor(s) is here. You may be talking about the synchronization issue several of us have been discussing, or it might be something else. You also mention “draft” as opposed to “published.” I think we either need more details or need to see the Elements file you’re working with.

Thanks @thominator for the response.

This may already have been discussed, so please forgive my ignorance. Let me clarify the issue:

1. I wrote a blog post and saved it as a draft, but it had the wrong URL.
2. I completed and published the post without updating its status or URL.
3. A few hours later, I realised my mistake. I updated the status and URL, then republished it.

The updated status and URL appear to have been published successfully. I can see the new post, but the URL displayed in the post is still the old one and has not updated.

This is when I performed step 2 from my original post: “Logged into the server and found…”

Hi @vivek

Did you try a “Republish All Files”? If not, try that if you run into the same issue again 🙂
