Yesterday/Today I wrote a blog and the status is “published” but for some reason when I try and test it locally it does not show up.

The previous written one seem to be fine, any idea what it could be?

This is the meta data:

-–

title: “North Star in architecture: a guiding vision, not a finished blueprint”

date: 2026-08-13

author: Vivek

summary: “What ‘North Star’ means in software architecture: where the metaphor came from, how industry uses it, and how a review north star shows up at CycleRunCode Club.”

slug: north-star-in-architecture

status: published

tags: [code, coding, architecture, getting-started]

categories: [code, coding]

-–

Any idea what is wrong? And I am on v3.0.9

Hi @vivek

Your front matter looks fine. It’s very difficult (impossible) to say without seeing the site and/or the project. Do you see other posts in the collection?

Thanks @ben for looking to help. Since I posted I noticed something interesting:

1. All the previous blogs are visible and not issues with the site (so far)
2. I published it locally around 1700 hours BST 12/08 and it did not show up
3. I tried to change the filename/contents and still it did not show up (locally)
4. Decided to wait for the next day to try, around 0013 hours BST 13/08 I tried and it blog still would not show up locally
5. I changed the date to 12/08 on the blog and tested it worked, changed the date back to 13/08 its not showing up
6. This morning 0835 hours BST and tried it locally, and I can see the blog

Not entirely sure what is happening here! It might have been something to do with the Solar Eclipse 😃

I will keep an eye out for this issue and if anything happens will revive this thread until then…

It sounds like “published” and the “date” are in conflict. I seem to recall that the CMS doesn’t usually show something if the date is in the future.

This brings up something I’ve wanted documented a bit better. A common thing I deal with is NDAs that have a do-not-publish-before date and time. So what’s the best way to do that @ben ?

Set the date and time to a date in the future and ensure the Collection component’s Filters-\>Date is set to “In the past”. Your Collection will then only show the item once the date and time has passed.

@thominator I have also written some custom styling for table display within MD as current its not supported. Not sure if you have covered it in your document.

E.g. [LogViewer: what is coming next (and how it compares)](https://cycleruncode.club/blog/post/?item=logviewer-whats-coming-next) check “**How it compares (short version)**” section
