Exactly right. You can connect Claude, ChatGPT, or other AI tools via the MCP server, and the AI agents gain access to a wide range of tools — listing content, creating posts, automatically tagging and categorising, adding author info, uploading images, moderating comments… the list goes on.

In short: the MCP server opens up Elements CMS to any AI app or agent, letting them manage almost everything you’d otherwise do in the online editor.

OK, if it applies to a collection, that will work for one of my scenarios where I’m using the front matter to manage some dimensional data for our products. They are grouped into collections, but they have nothing to do with any blog posts.

I wouldn’t want this dimensional data showing up in the front matter for my blog posts.

The frontmatter is configured per collection/folder. So as long as your different types of content are in different folders it’ll work just great for you.

I hope that makes sense 🙂

This all looks really promising, looking forward to seeing what the pricing ends up being.

A couple of bits of feedback from me:

**Inline images**
It would be great to upload directly from disk, rather than needing to upload to the resources area first.

**Gallery**
Drag and drop for multiple images would be a big improvement, instead of selecting each one individually from the resources area.

Really excited to see where this goes, it’s shaping up nicely.

you’ll be able to upload images directly to the Online Editor, so no need to add them to Elements first.

you’ll also be able to drop multiple files to the Online Editor to upload them all in one go.

@ben

is this fixed in CMS2?

> @ben The rel="canonical" tag does not work in Elements CMS. While checking and reviewing the source code, I just discovered that for blog posts in Elements CMS, the SLUG is not being correctly replaced in the rel="canonical" tag. See the screenshot. It would be great if this could be fixed so that the blog posts can be indexed by Google. Also, when I activate the Open Graph meta tags under the CMS item, they are also not being replaced or outputted. …

But all in on realmac software and mcp server!

Literally cancelled everything but this…

Must be good 👍

Thank you Dan and Ben for the great product / work!!

Seriously?.. “Pro features will be per-domain” ???

Are you corresponding with Joe Workman?.. His TCMS3 while incredibly capable, is shutting out many editors for greed. Is this really where Elements wants to gravitate to?

@ben

How would it work for licensing for 2 CMS instances one one website?

I have Studio Notes CMS on [trumpetstudio.com](http://trumpetstudio.com)

And

I have Podcasts CMS on [TrumpetStudio.com](http://TrumpetStudio.com)

For set up do two ‘tokens’ ???

A little confused…

I also don’t think it’s ideal that the Online Editor in the Pro version is priced per domain … but honestly, it does make sense to a certain extent.

Here are the reasons: first of all, you can still use CMS2 fully without the Online Editor. In addition, there is the free version, which will probably be enough for around 60% of users and should be perfectly sufficient for them — meaning they can run a blog without any extra bells and whistles.

The Pro version is likely aimed more at web designers, agencies, people who make money from their websites, and some private users who simply want to run a professional website.

That last group of users probably runs only one or two websites at most, so the costs are still quite manageable.

If you’re an agency building CMS2 websites for clients, then it also makes sense that this feature is paid for by your customers — and that Realmac benefits from it as well.

That’s absolutely fair and makes complete sense. It’s probably also one of the main reasons why Joe Workman still has TCMS3, while Foundry by Elixir Graphics no longer exists.

Let’s be honest … you bought Foundry once and could use it on as many websites as you wanted. I’m quite sure there weren’t many users who bought more than one Foundry license. Even though Foundry had far fewer features than TCMS, that exact reason was also why it was so popular with many users.

So it makes perfect sense that web designers and agencies who create websites with CMS2 and sell them to clients should need an additional license. That’s fair and should be clear to everyone.

**Maybe one idea for the Online CMS Pro version** would be to structure the entry pricing so that the first license includes 2 or 3 domains, and each additional domain costs extra.

I could imagine that this might attract more users to the Pro version and lead to greater acceptance of the pricing model.

If they are both running on the same domain, you’d only have to buy one license (if you want the pro features) as that would be considered as a single installation.

I hope that makes sense 🙂

What I’ve seen of Elements-CMS so far is really appealing!

I’m not sure if I’ve missed something. Is version 2 already available for download, or when is it expected to be released?

And what are the exact pricing details for the Pro version, and is there a detailed breakdown of the differences between the free and paid versions?

One more question: this microblog project isn’t available in the in-app store. It is, however, available in the online store. Will there perhaps be a revised version?
